I've put about 25 GB on it of data, but it always sees it as a 1.0TB drive. In the time it did reformat, it removed the partition. ![]() So I stopped it wondering why that long and then noticed it said the disk was 1.0TB! It sees the drive but for 10x the actual amount. I didn't notice what it said for size during this time and looked back at the iMac a few minutes later, and noticed it said it was going to take 14 hours to reformat the disk. ![]() It showed two partitions, so I selected to format as one, then started the format. When I ran the Disk Utility to reformat it, I chose the normal Mac format that was journaled. I connected it to a USB 2.0 hub to my iMac. ![]() It was my Linux drive, so it had Linux installed on it. I pulled my old Western Digital IDE/ATA 100GB drive out of my PC. I read alot of posts, but couldn't find this issue has come up.
